Congressman Mike Ross hosted the first Telephone Town Hall on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, and had well over 5,700 people joining in from across Arkansas's Fourth Congressional District.  He took questions from constituents on a variety of issues ranging from energy to Social Security to teacher incentives.

Telephone Town Halls allow Mike to discuss with Fourth District residents the numerous critical issues facing Arkansans today.  Working like a large conference call, constituents have the opportunity to ask their U.S. Representative questions and voice their concerns on an array of issues.

“I look forward to each call because I get to hear from working families throughout Arkansas’s Fourth Congressional District,” said Mike.  “While I will still be traveling to communities throughout the District for my regular town halls, many parents of small children or senior citizens have difficulty leaving their homes to come and share their concerns with me.  Now, we have the technology to connect with one another and I want to bring the town hall right to them.”
