UN ARMS INSPECTORS |
|
(Washington, D.C.)–“Today’s developments
in Iraq are certainly a step in the right direction,” said Congressman
Langevin, a member of the House Armed Services Committee. “However,
we have been down this road before with the Iraqi regime and it remains
to be seen if the UN weapons inspectors will have the full and unfettered
access they require to conduct a thorough assessment of the weapons production
program in Iraq. I hope, for the sake of global stability, that Saddam
Hussein will comply with the resolution and accommodate the needs of the
weapons inspectors.”
