Dr. Bosworth is a research geneticist working on development of catfish with improved performance for economically important traits such as growth, fillet yield and disease resistance.  His interests are development of breeding programs to improve production characteristics of channel catfish and channel catfish x blue catfish hybrids and testing of improved fish under commercial production conditions.  He also manages a research processing facility to provide processing yield and meat quality data to other researchers and commercial producers.
