									Yakima and (IV) in many parts of Washington and 
	 Oregon.  This earthquake occurred only seconds before the explosion which began the eruption of Mount St. Helens 
	 volcano.  This eruption and blast took 396 meters off the top of Mount St. Helens, killed 31 people, left 33 
	 other missing and caused damage of between $500 million and $2 billion U.S. dollars.
