Counseling at Monadnock SCORE Business counseling by SCORE volunteers is normally conducted at our office at 34 Mechanic St. in Keene, NH (see map). However, our Brattleboro, VT Branch may elect to meet with you at your place of business or at another mutually agreed upon location. Our clients typically are those who want to start, or have recently started, a new business. We also offer problem solving assistance to established businesses. A strict Code of Ethics is adhered to by all SCORE members. This provides the client complete confidentiality in discussing his or her needs, and assures there is no conflict of interest with the counselor, the SCORE organization or the SBA. The counselor may, with the client's permission, discuss this particular situation with other SCORE members who may have specific experience, or bring in another member as a co-counselor. The counseling process is initiated by any of the following means: Fill out and submit an online "Request For Counseling" form E-mail us at Info@MonadnockSCORE.org and we will send you the "Request For Counseling" form Phone the SCORE office in Keene [603-352-0320]. The office is not manned continuously so it may be necessary to leave a message on the answering machine clearly stating your name, address and phone number. It will be answered by the SCORE member usually within 24 hours. They will send you a form to submit to formally request counseling. Upon receipt of the infomation on your completed form you will be assigned one or more counselors that best meet your needs. The members profile page shows the breadth of experience of this chapter's members, and is assurance that competent advice is available. The counselor will contact the client requesting assistance and setup a mutually convenient time and place to meet. The first session is usually devoted to getting acquainted with the specifics of the case and to forming a working relationship with the client. Subsequent sessions may be scheduled, especially if extensive work is needed to develop information for a business plan. Typically a plan of action is developed which provides the basis for subsequent meetings. SCORE assistance is free.
