Rogers: $3.6 Trillion Budget Threatens Michigan Jobs |
|
U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, MI-08, issued the following statement today after the House of Representatives adopted an unprecedented $3.6 trillion FY 2010 spending blueprint based on a dangerously high level of spending, borrowing and tax increases:
“The Democrat budget puts America’s future at great risk with the largest increases in the history of our nation in spending, borrowing and taxes. At a time when Michigan manufacturers are struggling to stay in business, a budget that forces them to compete with the federal government for desperately needed investment will destroy jobs. The $9.3 trillion in borrowing that the budget will trigger equals more than $120,000 per family of four, or 14 years worth of groceries for the average family of four. We need a responsible spending plan that puts jobs and working families first.” |
