Robert Moses State Park

A scenic boardwalk leads directly to the Fire Island Lighthouse from the Field 5 parking lot at Robert Moses State Park.
Robert Moses State Park is located on the western end of Fire Island outside of the boundaries of Fire Island National Seashore. The park is accessible by car via the Robert Moses Causeway. There are several parking lots in the state park (a fee is charged) and parking is available within Field 5 to reach the Fire Island Lighthouse and Lighthouse Beach.

Robert Moses State Park has its own website under New York State Parks.

The uppermost level of a long bridge sloping down to the island is covered by a string of cars and vans.  

Did You Know?
You may drive to either end of Fire Island, and walk to Fire Island National Seashore from either Robert Moses State Park or Smith Point County Park. You should anticipate long lines of traffic on warm, sunny weekend days.
