GMP Foundation Documents

Cover of 2007 Stakeholder's Foundation Workshop report.

As a standard component of a park's general management planning process, park managers and planners pause to reflect on the very foundation upon which this unit of the National Park System was established.

At Fire Island National Seashore, several meetings and workshops over the past year are helping planners create these foundation documents. To date, the following workshop reports have been created to document the on-going process that the planning team is using to create its final foundation document.

A final foundation statement will become available for public review and comment in late 2007.

We are always interested in hearing your thoughts about Fire Island National Seashore's new General Management Plan process.

You may share your reactions to these preliminary workshops and make your own contributions to this effort.
