Things To Do
 

The spring/summer season is here and there are lots of things to do at the park! Here are several fun and educational activities we are currently offering. All of them are great for adults and kids. Be sure to see our spring/summer guide for all of the programs being offered, or call 610.783.1077.

Cell Phone Tours

Valley Forge National Historical Park has pioneered a new and unique way to tour the grounds. Whether you are driving, biking, or walking, you simply use your personal cell phone to call a number and listen to a short narration of historical information. By dialing different prompts you can learn about individual sites and monuments throughout the park.

Now where ever you are exploring the Park, history is simply a phone call away!  The general phone number is 484.396.1018. También disponible en español en 484.396.1015.

There is no cost associated with the calls other than the minutes you have allotted for your phone plan. For more information about the cell phone tours or to pick up an information card please stop by the Welcome Center.   

Trolley Tours

If you would rather leave the driving to us, hop on the Encampment Store’s old-fashioned trolley and experience the story of Valley Forge in a new way. Encampment Store Guides bring history to life right where it all happened. The 90-minute tour will run on weekends from April 4- June 14, and daily June 15- September 7. Fee charged, tickets can be purchased in the Encampment Store. For more information or reservations, please call 610.783.1074.

Junior Ranger Guided Walk

Become a Junior Ranger! Kids 6-12 years of age will enjoy a guided walk through the encampment area uncovering the hidden stories of Valley Forge through fun and educational activities.  June 13- Sept 7 on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 10:30 A.M.  Free.

Did You Know?
Valley Forge was Pennsylvania’s first state park, established in 1893. In 1976, the bicentennial year of the Declaration of Independence, the park was transferred to the National Park System as Valley Forge National Historical Park.
