The School Leadership Program
This program provides competitive grants to assist high-need local educational agencies (LEAs) with recruiting, training, and retaining principals and assistant principals.

Teaching American History
This grant supports programs that raise student achievement by improving teachers' knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of American history.

Teacher Quality Enhancement Grants
The Teacher Quality Enhancement Grants Initiative consists of three separate programs which work to 1) strengthen teacher education, 2) assist states in improving the quality of their teaching force a variety of means, and 3) support state and local efforts to recruit highly qualified teachers for high-need areas.

Teacher-to-Teacher Initiative
The Teacher-to-Teacher Initiative highlights real-world examples of teachers who are translating the latest education research into practice and raising student achievement. Teacher-to-Teacher recognizes our nation's teachers' outstanding achievements and creates opportunities for the best teachers to share successful teaching strategies with colleagues through roundtables and workshops. The workshops are also available online and are often approved for pre-service and in-service credits.

Improving Teacher Quality State Grants (Title II)
The purpose of Title II, Part A is to increase the academic achievement of all students by helping schools and school districts ensure that all teachers are highly qualified to teach. State and local education agencies, as well as State agencies for higher education, may use these funds creatively to address challenges to teacher quality, whether they concern teacher preparation and qualifications of new teachers, recruitment and hiring, induction, professional development, teacher retention, or increasing the capacity of school leaders.
