What You Need To Know About the Digital Television Transition

Beginning on February 17, 2009, all United States television stations will be required to switch to a digital format. Viewers who receive “free” over-the-air television either through a rooftop antenna or “rabbit ears” will be affected by this transition.

If this is the case, then you have a few options: If you currently subscribe to a cable or satellite TV company, your service should not be affected. Learn more about the change by reading the CPB’s DTV Transition brochure.
