BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS (SIC 861)

Membership organizations engaged in promoting business interests
of their members, such as better business bureaus, boards of
trade, chambers of commerce, industrial standards committees,
merchants' associations, real estate boards, and trade
associations.  Membership organizations formed to carry out
specific business function, such as common marketing of crops or
joint advertising, are classified according to the function
performed.
