Reclamation's Albuquerque Area office is involved in a wide range of issues, programs, partnerships, and activities that reflect Reclamation's mission as a manager, developer, and protector of water and related resources. The Albuquerque Area Office seeks collaborative solutions to contemporary issues including: water management, improvement of riparian habitat, recovery of endangered species on the Rio Grande and Pecos River, and management of cultural resources that are consistent with all applicable state and federal laws. These cooperative endeavors include members of the irrigation community; municipal and industrial water contractors; environmental groups, pueblos and tribes; and local, state, and federal agencies.
