Miami, Florida --- Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a senior member of the Florida Congressional Delegation, will join former Miami Dolphins Quarterback and Hall of Famer, Dan Marino, in a visit tomorrow Tuesday May 12th at 9:30 AM to the Coast Guard’s Miami Beach complex to promote National Safe Boating Week, which runs from May 16th to the 22nd.

Ros-Lehtinen and Marino will visit the Coast Guard’s Miami Beach headquarters for the kick off event for National Safe Boating Week. With the start of summer just a few weeks away and the Memorial Day weekend fast approaching, the US Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary host several National Safe Boating Week events throughout the nation to encourage safety on the water.

Ileana and her family are avid boaters and she believes that public awareness is an important part of assuring a safe and fun boating season in South Florida.
