| Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld briefs reporters on the situation in Iraq during a Pentagon briefing on March 28, 2003. Rumsfeld and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, gave reporters an update on the progress of Operation Iraqi Freedom, which is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
