TRESTE is a NASA-funded team of nine Tribal higher education institutions and the Earth System Science Program of the Universities Space Research Association (USRA). Through collaboration with Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc., NativeView and the U.S. Geological Survey it works to enhance Earth system science and geospatial education using problem-based teaching techniques.

The TRESTE team goal is to promote the use of NASA Earth science data and products in the classroom thereby working with faculty to inspire undergraduate students to careers in Earth system science, the physical sciences, and related fields of science and engineering.
