SOUTHWEST AREA FIRE WEATHER AOP 2008
This document serves as the Interagency Fire Weather Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the
Southwest Geographic Area. The general relationship between NWS and the interagency fire
management community is set forth in the National Interagency Agreement for Meteorological
Services. The AOP provides specific procedural and policy information regarding the delivery of
meteorological services to the fire management community in the Southwest Area, as allowed under
