Subject: UMLS 2007AB Edition

Attention UMLS Licensees: The 2007AB edition of the UMLS Knowledge Sources is available for downloading. 2007AB Statistics The 2007AB Metathesaurus contains more than 1.4 million concepts and 7.2 million unique concept names from over 100 source vocabularies. 26 source vocabularies were updated, including SNOMED CT, SNOMED CT - Spanish Language Edition, GO, MedDRA, and LOINC. The 1993 version of Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (MIM93) was significantly updated and reflects a new source abbreviation (SAB) of OMIM. Two new sources were added: Gold Standard Alchemy and Metathesaurus FDA Structured Product Labels, both are RxNorm sources. In addition, LOINC 2. includes 3 subsets that are represented as separate sources: Minimum Data Set, 2.0, (LNC_MDS20), Outcome and Assessment Information Set, 2002 (LNC_OASIS_2002), and Patient Health Questionnaire (LNC_PHQ9_1999). A complete list is available at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/umls/updated_sources.html. DVDs As always, the production and mailing of the DVDs for those who have requested them lags the release by about 25 days. Those who have previously requested the DVD will automatically be sent a 2007AB DVD. If you want to request the DVDs of the releases, send an e-mail to [log in to unmask], and be sure to include your license number. Thank you, Rachel Kleinsorge UMLS Training Coordinator National Library of Medicine, NIH, HHS 8600 Rockville Pike Bethesda, MD 20894
