Over the course of your lives, I am sure you have heard the saying, "There ought to be a law..."
Of course the role of government is to protect the citizens it serves, but we must be careful not to
allow the government to grow beyond our means of containing it.

This is why, now as we progress into the era of a new administration, a new Congress, and new
challenges I am seeking the counsel of the constituents of the 48th District of California for a campaign
I call, "There Ought NOT be a Law."

I invite you to submit your suggestions, ideas, and thoughts for the repeal of federal laws
that are duplicative, wasteful, or just plain wrong. Americans demand more fairness and
increased transparency and accountability from the federal government that serves them,
and every law abiding, taxpaying citizen is entitled to such.
