Instructions: This IM modifies Survey Manual Chapter 370.550.1, Section 4.F to permit the authorization of overtime for official work performed at an alternative worksite.1. Purpose. The purpose of this Instructional Memorandum (IM) is to revise Survey Manual Chapter 370.550.1, Section 4.F to permit the authorization of overtime for official work performed at home or any other alternative worksite, in accordance with the Flexiplace Handbook dated October 1999.
2. Scope. This policy covers any U.S Geological Survey employee who is under an approved Flexiplace agreement.
3. Policy. Supervisors may approve overtime work for employees working at an approved alternative worksite using the same criteria for approving overtime at the official duty station.
