V. Primary Delegations of Authority
The Secretary has delegated the following authorities to the Chief Information Officer, subject to certain reservations:
- Authority to perform functions vested in the Chief Information Officer by the Information Technology Act of 1996, P.L. 104-106, Division E, 40 U.S.C. 1401, et. seq.
- Authority to perform management functions to ensure compliance with the requirements of section 3544 (a)(3) of the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA)
The Secretary has also delegated to all Principal Officers certain administrative authorities subject to certain reservations.
