Transportation
Accessible transportation means continued
independence
Looking for a ride?
Transportation to appointments, shopping, grocery stores,
senior centers or social events is needed for independent
living. Minnesota communities have different types of
transportation services available. Some offer door-to-door
(or escorted) transportation, some have fixed routes (such
as buses), and some communities, particularly those in rural
areas, offer volunteer driver programs.
While all persons 60 years of age and older are eligible,
services are targeted to individuals with the greatest
economic and social need.
