The El Paso Field Division is responsible for delivering irrigation water to the Elephant Butte Irrigation District in southern New Mexico, the El Paso County Water Improvement District No. 1 in west Texas, and to the Republic of Mexico. The El Paso Field Division also manages the storage of Rio Grande Project water in Elephant Butte and Caballo Reservoirs. In these activities, the El Paso Field Division works closely with the Rio Grande Compact Commission and the International Boundary and Water Commission.
