Summary HDF Explorer is a data visualization program that reads Hierarchical Data Format files (HDF, HDF-EOS and HDF5). HDF Explorer offers a simple yet powerful interface for visualization of HDF data. The data is just a click of the mouse away. Data is first viewed in a tree-like interface, and then optionally loaded and visualized in a variety of ways.
HDF ... Explorer features include fast access to data, grid, scalar and vector views. It also allows exporting your data either as a ASCII text file or a bitmap image. Features include:
-Improved display for dataset properties. -Dimension selection of datasets. -Export datasets as ASCII files. -Export images as bitmaps.
Features new to v1.2 include:
-Select HDF5 palettes: It is now possible to select an HDF5 palette to display with an 8bit image. -Fill values: All kinds of integer and float classes fill values are read and used in the map generation. -Interface: It is now possible to open an object by double-clicking on its icon. There is an associated default view for each kind of object. -Project file with examples: The distribution file has a Visual Studio C project file "hdf5_data" with source code to build the examples.
