Welcome and thank you for your interest in this exciting fellowship opportunity. The National Science Foundation (NSF) is proud to offer fellowships to students in their early stages of pursuing a research based Master's or PhD degree.

The Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) offers our nation's research leaders of tomorrow exceptional funding with 3 years of graduate support worth thousands of dollars.

The GRFP online application is currently closed and expected to re-open August 2009. 

 

GRFP Fellows Receive the Following:

$30,000 annual stipend
$10,500 cost-of-education allowance
$1,000 one time international travel allowance
TeraGrid Supercomputer access

 

NOTICE:

Due to the complexity of the current budget situation, the 2009 GRFP awards will be announced in installments based on fields of study and other factors. The first installment is now available on FastLane. Awardees, as well as Applicants not recommended for funding, have been notified by email. Recipients of Honorable Mention and any additional Fellowship award offers will be forthcoming.

For those applicants still waiting for notification of their 2009 applications, the approximate timeline for notifications is within the next two weeks.

The anticipated release date for rating sheets is approximately one business day after the final announcements. All applicants will receive an e-mail with instructions for accessing their rating sheets when they are available.
