The Energy Policy Act of 2005
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 requires government agencies to purchase energy efficient (Energy Star) products and requires increased used of alternative fuel vehicles.
In addition, this regulation requires an overall decrease in energy use in the Federal government that coincides with an incremental increase in the use of renewable energy.
