Johnson Hall named after VADM Harvey F. Johnson (class 1908) who was the Engineer-in-Chief of the Coast Guard from 1935-1940. During WWI, RADM Johnson also served aboard the cutter BEAR.
Johnson Hall was completed on 1962 and designed as the maintenance building. It now has the Exchange (gift shop) which is open M-F (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Sat. (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Sun (11 a.m. to 3 p.m), the Navy Federal Credit Union is open M-F (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and a 24 hour ATM, a gas station and a Mini Mart open M-F ( 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Sat (8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Sun (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.). The Barber Shop and GSK are located here as well. The Exchange is open to personnel and visitors. There is also a map of the Academy within the front foyer of Johnson Hall and a Campus Notices Board.
