Each activity and event submitted to EPA is categorized to help organizers quickly see trends from year to year.  The charts on this page provide a breakdown of activities from the 2008 National Radon Action Month by category.  EPA encourages everyone to hold a variety of activities with the aim of reaching out to all key stakeholder groups and the general public.

In January of 2008, more than 700 National Radon Action Month activities were conducted across the country by local groups, including organizations from 39 states, 3 territories, and 3 tribal nations. These states hosted the most activities and events for 2008.

EPA Recommends: Test your home for radon -- it's easy and inexpensive; Fix your home if your radon level is 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher. Radon levels less than 4 pCi/L still pose a risk, and in many cases may be reduced.
