The Department of Veterans Affairs has deployed a website and a toll-free phone (800-507-4571) number for veterans seeking information on Pandemic influenza. VA will begin taking applications for the new Post 9/11 GI Bill on May 1, 2009. The new program is very complex so service members who are eligible for the Montgomery GI Bill and are considering converting to the Post 9/11 GI Bill should compare the benefits of the two programs to determine which best suits the service member’s particular situation.
