2009 NMMSS USERS ANNUAL TRAINING MEETING

May 19-21, 2009, Location TBD

Why are both the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff and Department of Energy staff at the NMMSS Users and Training meeting? What does "Foreign obligated" mean? What is a "Form-741"? Why is enriched uranium called "MT=20" in NMMSS?

DOE and NRC also recognize some sites with the "Excellence in NMMSS Reporting" certificates.

In conjunction with the NMMSS meeting, the Local Area Nuclear Material Accountability Software (LANMAS) Annual Users Group Training is held. This meeting is intended for users to exchange information and obtain further clarification on LANMAS-related activities. Discussion will focus on a status update of the LANMAS program, including user needs, software development, enhancements, ongoing installations, maintenance activities, and training.

NMMSS is sponsored by the Office of Health, Safety, and Security within the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission
