The Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS)
2009 Users Annual Training Meeting
will be held in Denver, Colorado, May 19-21, 2009.
The NMMSS serves a critical role in the U.S. Government's ability to maintain operational awareness of the inventory, status, and whereabouts of nuclear materials.

The 2009 meeting is organized and hosted jointly by the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The main objectives of the 2009 meeting are to:

  • Present up-to-date information on NMMSS developments and enhancements.
  • Discuss regulatory drivers, reporting requirements, and potential impacts on NRC licensees and DOE contractors.
  • Provide system training and orientation.
  • Facilitate exchange of ideas and solutions to streamline and improve system performance.
