Government Kiosk Overview

The Department of Education, Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, and Environmental Protection Agency join HUD in bringing information you need, right to you! Government kiosks are in shopping malls, grocery stores, and other public places around the country. Most of them are available 7 days a week in various locations throughout the country.

At the touch of your finger, learn how to buy a home, apply for student loans, make your home safe from pests, save for your retirement, and find out if you are eligible for a tax credit. Normally, users spend about 5-10 minutes finding information on the kiosks. They can print any page they want. And if they need more information or free access to the Internet, they can visit a local government office (the address, phone number, and fax number of the closest office is shown at the bottom of every page they print from the kiosk).

The kiosk is housed in a surround with pictures of the local community. At the top is a "ticker tape" that can be used to announce community events. Kiosks have both English and Spanish translations.
