2009 Call for Nominations

Winners of the 2009 Presidential Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management will be chosen from nominations submitted to FEMP, which are due on May 22, 2009.

For guidance on submitting nominations, please consult the 2009 criteria and guidelines (MS Word 141 KB) and cover sheet (MS Word 48 KB). (NOTE: The cover sheet only was revised on March 18, 2009 to remove the page requiring approval signatures. Approvals will be submitted via FEMP's new on line submissions process as explained below.)

Nominations must be submitted through a new online process. Please note that an online submission form will require the same information as the cover sheet. This will take the place of a hard copy cover sheet.

Please note, FEMP requires that nominations are approved and submitted through your Federal Agency Energy Awards Coordinator. This approval will now be conducted through the online nomination process.

FEMP's new awards nomination submission system is now live. Please visit http://www.fempcentral.com/awards/ to begin submitting your award nominations.

Nominees chosen as finalists for this award must be vetted and approved by the White House before they are announced. Winners will be notified and listed on this site once approval is received.

The 2009 Presidential Awards ceremony and reception are scheduled for October 29, 2009, in Washington, D.C. Winners will be invited to an evening reception with winners of the Federal Energy and Water Management Awards, scheduled for October 27, 2009. The locations for these events are being finalized.
