As a follow-on to my letter to you, dated March 4, 2005, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is committed to working closely with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board to conduct a top-down review of the Nuclear Explosive Safety Directives. �To this end, the Office of Nuclear Weapon Surety and Quality, NA-121, will meet with your staff, Jim McConnell, the NNSA Chief of Defense Nuclear Safety, and personnel from the Albuquerque Service Center / Nuclear Explosive Safety Division in the Washington D.C. area in June 2005. �Jim McConnell agrees with this course of action and will support this effort.
