PMCDP Certification Review Board
The PMCDP Certification Review Board (CRB) at DOE Headquarters is an independent, autonomous body chartered to evaluate federal certification candidate applications and issue recommendations for certification by DOE/OECM and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) per the requirements of DOE Order 361.1B Chapter IV, and the competencies established by the Certification and Equivalency Guideline (CEG). Local field office boards may be established to provide preliminary review and recommendations to the CRB. Membership
The Co-chairs of the CRB are the OECM Director and the NNSA Administrator, or their designees. The Co-chairs identify CRB goals and objectives and approve and issue all project management certifications.
CRB membership consists of voting members and advisors:
Voting Members:
- OECM Director and NNSA Associate Administrator Co-chairs or designees.
- One senior representative from each of the three LPSOs with responsibility for capital assets.
- OECM Deputy Director for Project Management.
CRB Advisors:
- A representative from the Office of Procurement & Assistance Management.
- Ad Hoc representatives from other PSOs or site offices invited by co-chairs.
- OECM PMCDP program manager serving as CRB Secretariat.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The CRB certifies DOE personnel in project management; decides on the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fulfill the Departmental mission under DOE O413.3A of effectively managing capital asset projects; establishes the requirements for certification and publishes them in the PMCDP Certification and Equivalency Guideline; and decertifies those who fail to maintain certification requirements.
