PDF Files: Viewing, Printing, and Configuring Web Browsers

Portable document format (PDF) files are based on the PostScript(TM) page-description language, the de facto industry standard for desktop publishing and printing. PDF documents appear on-screen at the highest possible resolution and print in color or black and white on any type of printer. Text, graphics, photographs, and page layouts retain their original format whether viewed on Macintosh, Windows, DOS, or UNIX computers. The PDF format has been adopted for distributing guidance and other regulatory information on the World Wide Web.

However, in order to view and print a PDF document online, your Web browser must be configured to use Acrobat Reader or a similar viewer. Use the links below to obtain PDF viewers, web browsers, and instructions on configuring your viewer to use PDF files.
