Office of Administration

The Office of Administration provides the Department of Energy with a variety of integrated services and products that support the functions and roles that the various Staff Offices and Program Offices perform.  This includes safety and occupant emergency response planning, printing, mail, conferencing and special events support, graphics, photography, recycling, and transportation services, space management and building operations, property management and moving services, and travel services both domestic and foreign and the DOE Exchange Visitor Program.

Office of Headquarters Safety, Health and Security - provides information, guidelines, documentation, training, and materials pertaining to many aspects of Safety and Health within the HQ buildings.  We continually refine and exercise the Headquarters Occupant Emergency Plans, we serve as the coordinators of the Office of Management (MA) Continuity of Operations Plan, and we serve as the Headquarters Security Officer for MA.

Office of Administrative Management and Support - provides services that comprise many of the integrated managerial support functions that are shared by the Department, and works to anticipate and be ready to meet the constantly changing customer needs.  This includes the delivery of services and products throughout Headquarters, and Department-wide guidance, in areas such as printing, copy management, visual media/graphics, photography, mail operations, document scanning, transportation, conferencing, parking, and Energy Library services.

Office of Logistics and Facility Operations - provides facility management services as part of the Building Occupancy Business Line of the Working Capital Fund.  This includes making sure that the Headquarters buildings have proper heat and air conditioning, ensuring properly working elevators, cleaning offices, picking up trash and maintaining the grounds.

The office provides services that manage the office space at Headquarters.  This includes everything from procurement of space in leased buildings, coordination of design development, construction documents and specifications, execution/supervision of projects and assignment of space in all our buildings, office moving, personal property and supply management, and management of our loading docks.  This also includes various services that support occupancy, such as providing keys and locks, installation of telephone and electrical receptacles, cyclical painting, carpeting, and installation of artwork, visual boards, and other minor office construction projects.

Office of International Travel and Visitor Exchange Program - serves as the Headquarters contact for regulations and laws governing travel.  The office provides services and support for Passports, Visas, the DOE Exchange Visitor Program, travel both official and personal, car rentals and hotel reservations.  The group also oversees the Travel Management Center operated by ADTRAV Travel Management.
