Welcome to Discovery Café

The Discovery Café is please to serve NCI-Frederick and the population of Fort Detrick with Breakfast, Lunch and snacks from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  The Café is located in the NCI-Frederick’s Library/Conference Center, Building 549, at the corner of Sultan and Wood Streets. The Café is operated by Eurest Dining Services, a Compass Group under the direction of Ms. Sharon Jackson, Manager.

Hours of Operation
Hot Breakfast is available from 7:00 AM to 9:45 AM
Continental Breakfast from 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM
Lunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Snacks &Beverages from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Grab N Go items are also available all day

Weekly Menu
A new menu is issued weekly for Breakfast and Lunch including hot entrees, specialty items, sandwiches, grill bar, salad bar, and unique entrees from the action station. Featured beverages include Starbucks Coffee, Self-served Cappuccino, Coke, and a variety of fruit beverages.

Food Service Advisory Committee

A Food Service Advisory Committee, consisting of representatives of various NCI-Frederick sections and the operator representative, acts as a liason between the Café and NCI-Frederick management.  Please feel free to pass along comments regarding the café’s food and service by submitting a suggestion.
