Thompson Commends Napolitano on Tribal Consultation

March 4, 2009 (WASHINGTON) – Today Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security released the following statement with the release from the Secretary of Homeland Security regarding a new tribal consultation policy:
“I commend Secretary Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security on creating this policy to include our Nation’s Native American Tribes in policy advising and development. We must ensure that all key stakeholders across the nation play a part in keeping the homeland secure.”
