Additional Vehicles Form

Because the National Cancer Institute at Frederick (NCI-Frederick) is located within Fort Detrick, a U.S. Army base, security is tight and all security procedures are strictly enforced. Due to the tragic events of 9/11/01 and continuing high state of alertness, all visitors to Ft. Detrick must:

All traffic must enter through the Main Gate, which is located on Seventh Street.

Present two (2) photo IDs at the Main Gate (e.g., driver's license, NIH ID, passport).

Expect that your vehicle will be searched, including the trunk and any boxes, bags, or other items.

All NCI-Frederick visitors, from the Main Gate: Proceed  through gate to stop sign at 3-way intersection and turn left onto Porter Street.  Take the first right onto Ditto Avenue and then second left onto Chandler Street.  Follow through two intersections to stop sign at Miller Drive.  Directly across from the second intersection are the NCI Managment Offices, Building 427. Visitors should first report to NCI-Frederick Security in Building 426 before proceeding to any other destination.

The NCI Management Offices are in Building 427. Review the Campus map for details. NOTE: All buildings on the NCI-Frederick campus, with the exception of the Conference Center/Scientific Library (Bldg. 549), are secured via a card-key system; therefore, a visitor must have an escort in order to enter a building.

Scientific Library: All visitors to the Scientific Library must sign a login sheet.
