Why is Business.gov Providing this Community?

As the U.S. Government's official website for small businesses, Business.gov aims to be more than just an information source, but an online meeting place where entrepreneurs, business owners, industry leaders, and government experts can connect with each other.

In the spirit of building a transparent and open government, Business.gov's has launched this Online Community for business owners to help them be more successful.  Community features include online forums, expert insight and news, and resources built collaboratively between the Business.gov team and members of the small business community.

Our goal for the Community to become the primary resource for small business owners to learn, share and discuss practical solutions to everyday business problems, such as:

  • How to start and run a successful business;
  • How to comply with laws and regulations; and
  • How to take advantage of government programs supporting small businesses from all levels of government - federal, state and local.
