Weekly Volunteer Work Days

The National Park Service offers two weekly programs to help maintain the Presidio’s coastal areas. Projects include beach clean-ups, vegetation pruning, sand removal, and invasive weed removal. For more information, call (415) 447-9743 or email eric_t_poelzl@nps.gov.

• Crissy Field Landscape Maintenance Volunteer Program: Every Thursday, 9 am to Noon. Individuals and small groups of 10 or less. Meet at Building 988, located at the end of the West Bluff parking lot, behind the Warming Hut (approximately 1 mile west of the Crissy Field Center).
• Area A Landscape Maintenance Volunteer Program: Every Saturday, 9 am to Noon. Individuals and small groups of 10 or less. Project locations include East Beach, Crissy Promenade, Crissy Airfield, Baker Beach, and China Beach. Meeting locations vary.

Presidio Coastal Cleanup Day

On the third Saturday of every September, volunteers join in an effort to clean up trash along the Presidio’s coastline and waterways.
