Food Allergy Awareness Week: May 10 – 16, 2009

As with any public health concern, building awareness is one of the key aspects of effectively managing food allergy. To aid in awareness efforts, the 12th Annual Food Allergy Awareness Week (FAAW), created by The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) in 1997, will take place from May 10-16 this year. According to FAAN’s Chief Executive Officer, Julia Bradsher, “Take Action, Prevent Reactions is our theme for this year. Food Allergy Awareness Week is a time to raise awareness as well as applaud those who do so much to support those living with food allergies. Click here for more information.
