Advanced IT Training Program

Securing and Auditing SQL Server
(2007 only)

Program Overview
This hands-on seminar covers how to configure SQL Server to minimize associated risks and provide for an auditable system. You'll explore different security modes that allow integration with Microsoft's Windows access control mechanisms and/or with stand-alone user identification and authentication mechanisms.

Key Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participant will be able to assess the security and controls of a SQL server used in banking applications and data.

Facilitated classroom discussion and lectures.

Duration
Four days.

Level
Intermediate.

Target Audience
Risk Management Examiners with 12-15 months on the job experience conducting IT examinations

Prerequisites
ITEC, Network +, Security +, Securing and Auditing the Windows 2003 Server, or equivalent experience as well as experience auditing, securing, or examining an operating system environment.
