17th Annual National Sportsmanship Day

Olympic speedskater, Nathaniel Mills, who works at the school as their Director of Athletics and Peace Education, facilitated a dialogue between Melissa and students at the school about the importance of practicing good sportsmanship throughout all aspects of life, and the negative effects of showing poor sportsmanship.

Students performed a short demonstration about sportsmanship, and awards were given to several students at the school for specific examples of good sportsmanship that they had engaged in throughout the year.
