THE PRESIDIO TRUST's commitment to protecting personal customer information

THE PRESIDIO TRUST values the trust its customers place in the Trust. Accordingly, THE PRESIDIO TRUST adheres to the highest ethical standards in gathering, using and safeguarding customer and public information that is entrusted to the agency. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT AS A FEDERAL CORPORATION, THE PRESIDIO TRUST IS BOUND BY THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA) AND THE ELECTRONIC FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (EFOIA) WHICH PROMOTE THE OPENNESS OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BY PROVIDING RIGHTS AND REMEDIES FOR REQUESTING INFORMATION FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

  • THE PRESIDIO TRUST does not rent or sell information about its customers. Access to information about PRESIDIO TRUST customers is restricted to the extent allowable under United States laws governing federal agencies and Freedom of Information. Third parties that need access to THE PRESIDIO TRUST customer information in order to provide operational or other support services to THE PRESIDIO TRUST must agree to safeguard customer information in strict compliance with THE PRESIDIO TRUST policy.
  • THE PRESIDIO TRUST gathers only the customer information that is needed to administer its business, provide superior service and communicate offers on events and services that THE PRESIDIO TRUST believes will be of interest to its constituents and customers.

Personally-Identifiable Information

THE PRESIDIO TRUST world wide web site collects personally-identifiable information (such as name, address, telephone number, or email address) from web site visitors only when visitors voluntarily provide such information to THE PRESIDIO TRUST. The site also collects key information, such as interests, skill sets and expertise in order to target key visitors who have expressed an interest in being involved in PRESIDIO TRUST programs. THE PRESIDIO TRUST web site visitors who do not want their personally identifiable information collected online are asked not to submit such information to THE PRESIDIO TRUST.

Children

THE PRESIDIO TRUST has no intention of collecting personally-identifiable information (name, address, telephone number, or email address) from children (individuals under the age of 13) online and using that information for marketing purposes. Where appropriate, THE PRESIDIO TRUST will specifically instruct children not to submit such information on THE PRESIDIO TRUST web site.

If a child has provided THE PRESIDIO TRUST with an email address, THE PRESIDIO TRUST asks that a parent or guardian of the child contact THE PRESIDIO TRUST at webteam@PresidioTrust.gov if they would like the email address deleted from THE PRESIDIO TRUST email mailing lists. THE PRESIDIO TRUST informs customers that it will use reasonable efforts to delete such email addresses from its existing files.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information Collected Automatically

THE PRESIDIO TRUST web site may collect information from web site visitors that is not personally-identifiable, including the visitor's operating system, browser, domain name, and the specific web pages on THE PRESIDIO TRUST web site that are accessed or visited. Guidelines for Use

THE PRESIDIO TRUST's site may be used only for lawful purposes. Users must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, regulations, or conventions, including without limitation those related to data privacy, international communications, and exportation of technical or personal data. User may not use this site for any criminal or illegal activities or any activities that might be legally actionable.

THE PRESIDIO TRUST reserves the right to determine what constitutes net abuse and objectionable conduct, and may refuse service and/or terminate membership in its sole discretion, including without limitation if THE PRESIDIO TRUST believes that user's conduct violates applicable law, or is harmful to the interests of THE PRESIDIO TRUST. Examples of objectionable conduct and conduct that violates these Guidelines are:

  • posting of any text or images that are sexually explicit, pornographic, racially or ethnically objectionable or grossly offensive to the online community
  • posting of defamatory and libelous statements or other statements that would violate any third party's privacy or publicity rights
  • impersonating any person or using a name that you are not authorized to use
  • planning illegal activities
  • advertising or offering to sell any goods or services for any commercial purpose
  • posting of any content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights or violates any confidentiality agreements
  • introducing viruses, worms, harmful codes, or Trojan horses
  • spamming, flaming, or other similar activities

Violations of system and network security are prohibited. The user may not misuse system resources including, but not limited to employing posts or programs that consume excessive CPU time or storage space; permitting use of mail services, mail forwarding capabilities, POP accounts, or auto-responders other than for your own account.

THE PRESIDIO TRUST may terminate or modify this agreement at any time without notice for any reason. Users may terminate this agreement by destroying all materials obtained from the PRESIDIO TRUST site. THE PRESIDIO TRUST'S property rights in materials that have been posted or otherwise submitted to it via this site, and the user's warranties concerning any such materials shall survive the termination of this agreement.
