International Council on Active Aging Logo

Founded in 2001, the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) has quickly
grown to become the world largest association dedicated to changing the way we
age by uniting and working with professionals in the retirement, assisted
living, recreation, fitness, rehabilitation, medical and wellness fields.
During 2006 the ICAA will celebrate its fourth annual Active Aging Week (AAW).
AAW will heighten awareness of the health benefits of leading an active and
healthy lifestyle. The initiative also increases opportunities for adults in
this age group to adopt physically active lifestyles. During this national
health observance, hundreds of fitness and wellness facilities will open their
doors to older adults, offering free group fitness classes, educational
sessions, and much more. To learn more about the ICAA or Active Aging Week
please visit www.icaa.cc.

Schoolchildren for Children Logo

Encouraging children to exercise while raising money for your school sports programme and for disadvantaged children in the developing world. These are the aims of a new international initiative launching in the US this year.

Schoolchildren for Children has already had three successful years in the UK. The concept is simple. Children raise $5 each to take part in a sponsored run/walk/sporting event. Fifty per cent of the money goes to the development of sporting programmes in participating schools; the remaining fifty per cent to schools in developing countries.

Administration costs are covered by separate sponsorship so all the money raised goes to schools and overseas projects.

The mission of Youth For Development is to build a healthy nation by getting inspiration from modeling PCPFS events, programs, and resources so we can encourage our citizens to get more fit, active and healthy.

Youth for Development is a youth group comprised of very dedicated, educated and highly movited young members with various sports backgrounds.

We have a very strong network of Youth Clubs working with us as we tackle numerous health related issues including HIV/AIDS/TB, youth from slum areas, etc.

In India, we are motivated and inspired by the President's Challenge events that we can promote so our people can work towards their own health improvement and hopefully stay medicine free while enjoying high and long quality of life.
