As Executive Director of the Birmingham Athletic Partnership, I will encourage the ten inner-city, public high schools' in Birmingham, Alabama to get physically active by providing new and safer athletic equipment and other much needed items to these outstanding students by requests from their coaches, cheerleading sponsors and band directors.  I am also a director on Governor Bob Riley's Commission on Physical Fitness and Sports and making as many people aware that May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, has been productive.

GameTime will provide motivational seminars around the US to groups (like Kiwanis, Park and Rec, schools, architects) who are interested in learning about the effects that free play can have on childhood obesity. Through our independent research with experts like Dr. Joe Frost and Dr. Louis Bowers, we have learned the tremendous effect that 30 minutes of free play per day can have in advancing a child’s caloric burn to the Surgeon General’s recommended daily expenditure, as well as developing strength and coordination skills. We also make available to interested parties the executive summaries on all our play studies.
