In its FY2009 appropriation FMCS received $650,000 for the Labor-Management Cooperation Grants Program. This funding, which must be obligated by Sept. 30, 2009, is intended to encourage innovative approaches to improving labor-management relations.
A draft of the FY2009 Application Solicitation was published in the Federal Register for 30 days for comment [Federal Register: March 20, 2009 (Volume 74, Number 53, Page 11948 – 11953)]. Forms for the FY2009 grants application cycle are pending OMB approval (published in the Federal Register on March 23, 2009) and will be ready for the May 2009 application date.
The full FY2009 application kit will be available by early May (please check website daily for updates). Before submitting an application for FY2009 it is recommended that applicants review all of the FY2009 information for current updates.
