The Avenues mall was buzzing with cops Monday.

Police Athletic League program helps kids make positive decisions

Think Police Athletic League. Basketball. Boxing. Baseball. Guys at the PAL center after school.

These activities are still popular, but now both boys and girls participate in all these sports.

They also do their homework at the center, get tutoring, interact with other kids over a game of pool.
